Nardi ha mostrato una prestazione solida e convincente, imponendosi con un chiaro 6-4, 6-0, segnando così un inizio promettente nel suo percorso a Indian Wells.
Luca nel primo set avanti per 5 a 1 ha perso un break e poi sul 5 a 4 ha dovuto annullare due palle break per un possibile 5 pari prima di chiudere al terzo set point utile per 6 a 4.
Nel secondo set Nardi questa volta non si è fatto raggiungere e piazzando tre break ha vinto il set e l’incontro per 6 a 0.
